Just like my parents did for me when I was younger I took my sons to see the Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty. The two sites has not changed all that much from what I remember although now you can not get up into the Statue like I remember when I was younger. I was going to show my sons where my brothers and I raced up the stairs and stared out on to the city horizon many years ago. I still remember that and I hope my boys do not forget this either.
One new thing was on Ellis Island where you can search up your ancestors via computer. We of course looked up some family names and try to realize what it must have been like to arrive on so long ago. Unsure of what was to become of you or your family. Well for what it is worth, to those who came before us, thank you from me and my family.
